One problem minimal techno producers meet while composing new tracks is keeping the attention of their audience. Taking time in the arrangement is characteristic in this genre and part of minimalism as well, what some people call arty, and other people boring. The latter ones may enjoy house music more. In contrast to minimal techno, house music is paying more attention to groove and danceability, what gives it the reputation as not more not less than nightclub music. I guess, DNCN could make both kind of people happy. His latest dancefloor-friendly EP on clevermusic is just a great mix of cut-up tech-house beats and minimalistic soundscapes. Dont misunderstand me, I dont say it is a new genre what's invented, there are some people who are doing that for years to be sure, I just say DNCN is one of the better ones.

Ein Problem welches Minimal Techno Produzenten während des Schaffens neuer Tracks begegnen ist wie sie die Aufmerksamkeit ihrer Hörerschaft behalten können. Zeit ist eine wichtige Komponente dieses Genres und des Minimalismus ansich, dies finden manche äussert künstlerisch, andere wiederum schlichtweg langweilig. Ich schätze, dass letztere mehr Freude an House music haben dürften. Im Gegensatz zu Minimal Techno liegt der Fokus von House music eher auf Tanzbarkeit und Groove, was allzuoft ihr den Ruf der nicht mehr nicht weniger als Clubmusik beschert. DNCN dürfte beide Lager glücklich stimmen. Seine neueste Dancefloor-freundliche EP auf clevermusic vereint cut-up tech-house beats mit minimalistischen Flächen. Versteht mich nicht falsch, ich sage nicht es ist ein Genre was neu erfunden wurde. Da gibt es bereits Menschen die das jahrelang so machen. Ich sage lediglich, DNCN ist einer der besseren.
